Oh friend… on one hand I’m screaming “success is showing up—even when! This work is in rebellion of the capitalist mindset!” BUT… but the lights still have to stay on. You and I both know I have now wisdom here, just love for you and for your work!!!!

Thank you so much, I agree. This isn't about capitalist mentality, but more about the swap. How do I continue to pay to publish? I used to justify that I was supporting other creatives: editors, artists, etc . . . If it's just about storytelling and that passion then maybe I should just tell the story and put it out there without the price tag, you know?

I am currently at the start of my indie journey and need to hear stories like this. Sometimes social media filters out the hard stories and only gives me the good news, and the reality is that it’s so tough to do this! I hope your ARC readers and street team pull through and your stories catch the eyes of the right people!

Best wishes!! It’s definitely tough, and every journey is unique. There are obviously success stories out there… I won’t blow smoke. 😊 It’s a hard business and I have no answers beyond my experience. I’m struggling and trying to figure out what forward looks like.
